Paid Social Ads Specialist / Media Buyer

Cornerlight Digital is a distributed, global social media advertising consultancy (based in NYC, Washington DC, Seattle, and Paris) specializing in strategy, training and campaign management. We’re growing and are looking for smart, driven people—who are excited about the rapidly changing paid social space—to join us.

No two clients or projects are the same. We work with a mix of globally recognized brands, up-and-coming startups, and unique companies that fall somewhere in-between. This means…you’ll constantly be learning in this role—gaining exposure to some of the world’s top brands, while also seeing how businesses operate in their early stages. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with the founder to shape the future of Cornerlight Digital and help grow our company from the ground up.

We’re looking for an Ads Specialist / Media Buyer to come on board and manage the implementation and execution of all our clients’ paid social ad campaigns. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with previous paid social experience who is looking to hone their skills in a flexible work environment, gain exciting client experience across verticals, and help shape the future of our agency. The role is a remote (available in GMT or EST hours) 6-month contract position (20-40 hours/week, see details in “Availability”) with the option to extend your contract past December 2022 as we grow!

- Manage ad campaign creation, launch, and ongoing optimizations on platforms like Facebook/Instagram (primarily), LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok and more. Includes A/B test setup + management.

- Daily monitoring of campaigns to ensure performance is meeting prescribed campaign KPIs and that budgets are pacing accurately. Ongoing management of campaign pacing tracker, powered by Google Sheets + Supermetrics API.

- Create weekly client-facing reports in Google Data Studio (powered by Supermetrics API) of campaign performance with actionable insights and recommended updates.

- Manage ad creative delivery and approvals in partnership with a Cornerlight Account Manager. Provide ad creative recommendations based on performance data.

- Platform pixel and product catalog monitoring + troubleshooting.

- Deep dive analyses into ad performance + attribution. Inclusion of outside data sets (i.e. Google Analytics web data, Shopify, Kajabi, Klaviyo, etc.) to help inform campaign optimizations and strategic recommendations.

- Support on ad hoc client campaign inquiries and deliverables (QBRs, strategy recommendations) as needed.

- 3+ years of experience in the paid social space, preferably at an agency.

- Deep knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager is a must, with proficiency on Pinterest and LinkedIn. TikTok ads knowledge is a plus!

- Proficiency in excel: Comfort with analyzing large data sets and translating them into digestible pivot tables.

- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Data Studio + API data integrations like Supermetrics, and web platforms like Shopify.

- Comfort with managing updates + troubleshooting Meta’s product catalog for Dynamic Product Ads.

- Experience navigating paid social pixel implementation + troubleshooting.

- Fundamental understanding of the marketing funnel + digital marketing landscape: We aren’t just a “branding” agency or a “performance marketing” partner. We work with clients to create full-funnel paid social strategies that drive tangible business results.

- Meticulous attention to detail: No report or email should ever be sent with miscalculations or typos! This also means being an extra set of eyes on all client ad creatives, deliverables, etc. AKA be the copy editor no one asked for :)

- Demonstrated critical thinking: Ability to effectively translate a “big picture” strategy into day-to-day campaign execution. This also means asking informed questions before diving into a task to ensure accurate and thorough completion.

- Comfort with client communication: This role will require some client-facing communication (i.e. logging weekly optimizations, pixel/feed management, etc.) but will be more of a “behind-the-scenes” role, supporting on all campaign updates in partnership with your Account Manager counterpart.

- Ability to be flexible and keep up with rapid change: The paid social landscape + ad platforms are changing literally every. single. day. What worked last week may not this week and vice versa.

TLDR: This isn’t your average agency gig.
