The Company
1848 Ventures partners with small to medium sized business owners across the US to identify the biggest uncertainties that impact their business, and develop digital, data driven products that turn that uncertainty into opportunity.
Westfield, a leading provider of commercial insurance, established 1848 Ventures in 2018 to lead the company’s efforts to expand beyond conventional insurance by understanding and addressing the broader uncertainties that business owners face. 1848 Ventures delivers tangible customer growth and financial results by developing and monetizing a portfolio of new, standalone ventures.
Based in Northeast Ohio (near Cleveland), 1848 Ventures offers team members the opportunity to apply their creative talents and entrepreneurial drive to a wide range of products and industries, while taking advantage of the stability and total rewards that are made possible by the backing of a strong, leading company. Patient capital, combined with the intentional separate structure of 1848 Ventures, creates an environment for those with an entrepreneurial spirit to help develop new businesses at startup speed, but without startup founder risk. Our cultural emphasis on values such as work-life balance, recognition, learning, and career development are all a reflection of our belief – true innovation and entrepreneurship require the right combination of support, autonomy, and growth opportunities.
We’re looking for experienced, collaborative, results-driven critical thinkers from a diverse array of personal and professional backgrounds to lead the development and refinement of new products based on deep customer insights.
