PeerStreet is seeking a Director of Strategy, Marketing Analysis, and Growth. As a Director of Strategy, Marketing Analysis, and Growth, you will build and lead a team that combines business and industry strategy, marketing, market and user research, analytics, and data science to partner with the Director of Brand & Marketing. Together, you will drive how the company reaches customers, delights them, and keeps its marketplace operating effectively. 

You will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company growth opportunities and challenges. You'll team with world-class professionals to conceive, develop and test methods that ensure our marketplace grows, functions well, and – ultimately – serves its customers impeccably.

We are hiring a Director of Strategy, Marketing Analysis, and Growth. to develop business and operating plans, models, and experiments that drive the bottom-line for our two-sided marketplace for investing in real estate debt. You will work closely with our executive, marketing, sales, product and technology, finance and operations teams to achieve that goal. 

Key Responsibilities:

You will be expected to define market segments and real-estate asset categories that the company and its marketplace will serve. You will use internal and external data sources and engage with internal and external experts to develop a functioning thesis for growth and maintenance of the PeerStreet Marketplace. Your deliverables will include: business cases, forecasts, and ongoing business performance monitoring, an “analytical stack,” that drives company strategy and refines execution at the company. You will also use your understanding of market segments, customer acquisition channels, pricing data, and pricing strategy to partner with colleagues driving digital products, building machine learning models, developing our brand, and acquiring customers who want financing for mortgage loans or who wish to invest in those mortgage loans. This will take the form of hypothesis testing for ROI in a range of channels to acquire and nurture customers for our multi-sided marketplace. 

Valued skills include business strategy, root cause analysis, critical thinking, and quantitative analysis. You hold one of the most vital roles as the glue between our strategy, our experiments and the products we build, ship, and operate - across product development and functional teams. You will be expected to work with internal business stakeholders, external industry experts and our customers to help them solve their problems with analytical products that are relevant, timely, and practical. 

In Partnership with the Director of Brand & Marketing, this role is Responsible for all Go To Market Activities. We are looking for a Director of Strategy, Marketing Analysis, and Growth. who has/can:

  • 7-10 years of Product, Analytics, or relevant experience. 
  • Invent, design and implement experiments to acquire and retain customers across physical and digital channels throughout the customer journey
  • Partner with marketing, engineering and data teams to define and operationalize marketing and analysis technology stacks
  • Partner with cross-functional partners to invent, implement, and monitor experiments across the customer journey for various products and customer segments.
  • Strength in building partnerships; working collaboratively in a matrix, proven influencing skills
  • Communicate effectively with engineering and non-technical teammates
  • Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement
  • Understanding of market dynamics, business strategy and operational leverage
  • Drive business operations analysis on topics like customer experience (NPS, etc) customer retention and profitability, and operate in greenfield areas to explore opportunities for the business (e.g.; new customer acquisition, adjacent products, etc.)
  • Ability to lead with minimal guidance; thrive in ambiguity.
  • Attract and retain highly analytical teammates
  • Lead / perform modeling/analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various software and financial products
  • Build and implement problem-solving frameworks to drive, monitor, and operationalize hypothesis testing that detects customer “signal” for company offerings and scales go-to-market tactics based on positive“signal”
  • Adapt positively to rapid-changing environment and business priorities, and adjust scope as needed
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage detailed and complex information in a rapidly changing environment
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into requirements to enhance customer journeys and product features
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products and efforts to maximize customer journeys
  • Solid fundamentals in business analytics and data platform design
  • STEM degree, MBA, or equivalent degrees (preferred)
  • Experience in data analytics and working knowledge of SQL (preferred)
